5.TERDI-STIDS LOGO(FR) Le Tribunal Etudiant de Règlement des Différents Internationaux (TERDI) vient d’ajouter à son rôle une nouvelle affaire intitulée « Différend relatif au statut du peuple et du territoire du Tibet ». Dans cette affaire, le Tribunal se donnera pour mission de répondre à deux questions :

  1. Quel est le statut du territoire tibétain selon le droit international ?
  2. Le droit international offre-t-il des protections particulières à la population tibétaine de facto administrée par la Chine?

Deux experts du droit international ont été invités par le Tribunal à soumettre leurs observations orales. Le professeur José Elías Esteve Moltó (Universitat de València, Espagne) interviendra au titre de conseil du Tibet. La professeure Géraldine Giraudeau (Université de Perpignan Domitia, France) sera la conseil de la République Populaire de Chine.

Le TERDI tiendra ses audiences en anglais et en français le vendredi 24 avril à 16h00 à l’Université Libre de Bruxelles (Campus du Solbosch, Batiment A, local AW1.120).

(EN) The Student Tribunal for International Dispute Settlement (STIDS) is seized of a new case entitled « Dispute regarding the statute of the Tibetan People and Territory. In this case, the Tribunal will have to answer two questions:

  1. What is the statute of the Tibetan territory under international law ?
  2. Does international law offer some particular protections to the Tibetan population de facto administered by China?

Two experts in international law have been invited by the tribunal to submit their oral observations. Professor José Elías Esteve Moltó (Universitat de València, Spain) will defend the interests of Tibet. Professor Géraldine Giraudeau (Université de Perpignan Domitia, France) will be representing the interests of China.

The STIDS will hold its hearings, in English and French, on Friday April 24, 4 PM, at the Université Libre de Bruxelles (Campus du Solbosch, Batiment A, local AW1.120).
