Le vendredi 7 mars, Sir Michael Wood, membre de la Commission du droit international des Nations Unies et Senior Fellow au Centre Lauterpacht pour le droit international de l’Université de Cambridge, donnera une conférence ouverte au public sur la question de la formation et l’identification du droit international coutumier.
Inscrit depuis 2012 au programme du travail de la Commission du droit international, le sujet de la détermination du droit international coutumier constitue une des questions fondamentales en droit international. Sir Michael Wood a été nommé Rapporteur spécial sur le sujet en 2012. Il est invité à l’ULB, avec le soutien de la Fondation Wiener-Anspach, afin de présider un séminaire d’experts sur la formation et l’identification du droit international coutumier, organisé par le Centre de droit international le 7 et 8 mars.
